Fonte Al Gallo is located on the Chianti side of Monte Scalari, among quiet oak and chestnut woods far from the beaten tourist track.
Since 2015, our family has been nurturing the dream of bringing this place back to life, reclaiming abandoned fields, planting new vineyards and olive groves, and respectfully restoring the old farmhouse that overlooks the valley.
It is not just an agricultural project, but a gesture of love for the land where we were born and raised.

Every choice stems from a desire to live in harmony with the environment: we keep the land grassed to protect the richness of the soil, which we fertilise with manure and mycorrhizae; we keep the plants healthy with copper, sulphur and natural macerates; we respect the clearings and woods surrounding the fields, with their varied mosaic of biodiversity. This is how our energy is born: silent, vital, sustainable.
Our vineyards are located between 600 and 650 metres above sea level, on sandstone soils with outcrops of Tuscan boulders. We mainly grow Sangiovese, to explore its versatility and character in this unique terroir. The olive grove, located between 600 and 700 metres above sea level, is populated by Tuscan cultivars such as Leccino, Moraiolo, Pendolino and Leccio del Corno. Manual harvesting, cold pressing within a few hours, light filtering and storage in temperature-controlled steel tanks guarantee an excellent extra virgin olive oil.

We welcome visitors for tastings and tours of the winery, to share our history and our connection to the land. In the future, the restored farmhouse will also host a farm holiday accommodation: a place to stop, breathe and recharge your batteries at the slow pace of the Tuscan countryside.
