How we work

The land, facing south-east/south/south-west and kissed by the sun from dawn to dusk, was cultivated until the mid-1950s, when it was abandoned by the last sharecroppers. We have the privilege of being the custodians of this special place and are proud to use agronomic techniques with low environmental impact. We keep the land grassed to limiterosion and preserve the richness of the soil, which we fertilise with manure and fertilise thanks to symbiosis with mycorrhizae.

We try to minimise treatments and use only copper, sulphur, essential oils and herbal macerates. We only irrigate in cases of transplant stress during the driest summers. We maintain areas of ecological value to protect biodiversity, such as clearings with wild grasses left to grow naturally between the field and the woods, natural ponds that are home to frogs and dragonflies, and strips of woodland that alternate with fields and ensure passage for wildlife.
